From Bracknell to Sandhurst

For most people in Bracknell, my practice is around fifteen minutes away. One option is to head south through Crowthorne on the A3095, though your best route will depend on which side of town you live. Once your first session is booked, I share the full address so you can plan the journey in advance.

Working life and wellbeing

Bracknell is home to many large workplaces, and you may be carrying the weight of your working life: long hours, restructures, difficult managers or the constant sense of never quite catching up. Sometimes there is anger that feels out of proportion, or a worry that will not quieten at night.

Counselling is a place to set that down for a while. We can look at what is going on at work and at home, and at the older patterns that may make certain pressures feel especially sharp.

Bullying at work, in particular, can leave people doubting themselves long after the situation has ended. Having someone outside the organisation to talk to can help you regain a sense of perspective and trust in your own judgement.

Support for your organisation

If you are responsible for wellbeing where you work, I also run mental health awareness training and wellbeing workshops for organisations, from 90 minutes to a full day, at your workplace or on Zoom. An initial consultation of up to an hour is free, and each package is priced to fit your needs.

Bringing your whole self

My way of working combines psychotherapy with coaching and mind–body awareness. As a certified yoga teacher, I am interested in how stress lives in the body as well as the mind. With your agreement, we may explore breath, grounding and noticing physical sensations alongside talking. People come to me with anxiety, low mood, bullying, bereavement and relationship concerns, among much else.

Fitting sessions around your week

If the drive suits you, coming in person to Sandhurst can create a clear boundary between work and your own time. If your days are packed, online sessions by Zoom remove the journey entirely. You can switch between them whenever you need to.

Starting out

The first step is a free phone chat, where you can tell me a little about what is going on and ask anything you like. If we agree to work together, we book a first session. In it, we explore what has brought you, what you would like to be different, and how often we will meet. Individual sessions last 50 minutes and are usually weekly, with regular reviews so that you always have a say in the direction of our work.

You do not have to be at breaking point to come. Some people come simply because they want to understand themselves better, or to feel more like themselves again.
