Challenges during online therapy

  • Internet connection, I can help with setting up of our Zoom connection if needed
  • We may have to be more verbal, as we cannot see our whole bodies. Setting camera at eye level can help with eye contact and facial expressions
  • Self -Care around screen time is important, especially if you are using computers for work.

To get the most out of your sessions…

  • Check that your space is private and comfortable
  • Do Not Disturb notices
  • Headphones can help with privacy
  • Turn off other applications/notifications and phone on silent
  • Please avoid alcohol/drugs, before or during sessions
  • Pets are welcome, if not distracting
  • Give yourself time before and after the session, before re-joining family/colleagues.
