Privacy and discretion
For some people, part of the appeal of seeing a counsellor outside their own area is the sense of privacy it gives. My practice in Sandhurst is around twenty minutes from Ascot, far enough to feel removed from everyday life, yet close enough to reach easily. Everything we discuss is confidential within the limits I explain at the start.
When life looks fine from the outside
You might feel you have no right to struggle, because on paper everything is going well. Yet success, responsibility and high expectations can come with their own loneliness. You might feel anxious, empty, or quietly unhappy in a relationship without quite knowing why.
Counselling does not ask you to justify your feelings. It gives you room to notice them and understand them. Self-esteem work can help when an inner critic has been running the show for too long.
Relationships under strain
I work with couples who want to find their way back to each other, and with those who have decided to separate and want to do so with respect, especially where children are involved. Using approaches such as Gottman methods, Imago Dialogue and genograms, we can look at the patterns between you and where they began.
Couples sessions can be 50 or 75 minutes. The longer option gives more room to settle in, work through a difficult conversation and end the session feeling steadier rather than rushed. We usually meet weekly at first, and may later space sessions out to fortnightly or monthly.
Travelling to Sandhurst
From Ascot, most people head south-west towards Sandhurst, a journey of around twenty minutes depending on traffic and exactly where you start. I share the full address when your first session is booked.
If regular travel is not practical, online sessions by Zoom offer the same care and confidentiality from wherever you feel comfortable.
My background
I have more than 20 years’ experience as an integrative counsellor, psychotherapist and coach. I am UKCP accredited, a BACP member and hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Supervision, and I am a certified yoga teacher. My work blends traditional psychotherapy with neuroscience-informed coaching and mind–body awareness.
I also offer life coaching for people who feel ready to look forward and make practical changes, whether in their career, their relationships or the way they want to live.
How we get started
It begins with a free phone chat, where you can tell me a little about what is happening and ask any questions. If we decide to work together, we arrange a first session. In that session we explore what has brought you and agree how we will work: how often to meet, when to review and what you would like to focus on.
Individual sessions are 50 minutes and cost £120. Couples sessions are £140 for 50 minutes or £175 for 75 minutes. Payment is by bank transfer before each session.
